- Receive guidance on grants and research, with the potential for collaboration
- Gain advice on prioritizing and balancing responsibilities
- Learn informal advancement rules
- Gather ideas on showcasing your work and research
- Reflect on your long-term career
With the benefits of mentoring come responsibilities. Mizzou ADVANCE expects mentees to:
- Clarify expectations with your mentor
- Commit time and energy to the mentoring process
- Meet with your mentor at least once per month
- Attend two brown-bag lunches per year with your mentor
